PHOTO OF THE DAY: THE WAY IT WAS
Barring rain, old-fashioned tractors and plows like these will be put back into use this afternoon for the traditional Labor Day plowing bee near Freeman. Enthusiasts are invited to participate or watch as the earth is turned in a way that used to be just the way it was. Plowing is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. The location of this year’s plowing bee is 2 miles north of Fensel’s Corner (276th St.) and less than a half-mile west of Highway 81. A sign with an arrow is located on the side of the highway.
