PRIDE WIN BIG AGAIN, MOVE TO 6-1

Tyce Ortman scored on runs of 82, 6 and 21 yards and returned a punt for a 52-yard touchdown in the first quarter, and Isiah Robertson intercepted a pass for a touchdown as Canistota/Freeman Pride build a 36-0 lead over Bon Homme after 12 minutes.

The Pride ended up winning 48-8 in the Oct. 9 game played in Freeman to improve to 7-1; the Cavaliers dropped to 2-5.

Canistota/Freeman’s other two touchdowns came in the second quarter — a 2-yard run by Robertson and a 9-yard run from Noah Kleisnasser. Had the Pride converted either of those two-point conversions, the game would have ended 50-0 at halftime.

Ortman finished with 103 yards rushing on four carries while Robertson carried the ball five times for 55 yards. Ethan Balvin added 51 yards on the ground.

Caden Scott had five solo tackles and Kleisnasser, Tate Tieszen, Evan Scharberg and Balvin each had four.
