Freeman High School senior Tegan Derry shoots a free throw in the first round of the Region 5B Tournament Monday night, March 1. Derry and the No. 11 Flyers traveled to Gayville-Volin to face the No. 6 Raiders with hopes for an upset, but the hot-shooting home team built a double-digit lead in the first quarter en route to a 58-39 win. Derry is one of two seniors on this year’s team; the other is Collin Helma. Freeman finished the season 0-21.
