EDELMAN, ORTMAN MISS/MR. BASKETBALL FINALISTS

Hansen Anderson Basketball has announced the 2021 Miss and Mr. Basketball finalists, which includes two area athletes — Menno’s Morgan Edelman and Canistota’s Tyce Ortman.

COVID-19 has forced the cancelation our the annual awards ceremony usually held the first Sunday in May at the Ramkota Inn in Sioux Falls; however, for the 41st year, Hansen Anderson will still name South Dakota’s Miss and Mr. Basketball as selected by a vote of the state’s basketball coaches.

Each year in South Dakota, more than 3,500 young men and women play varsity basketball. Of that group, roughly 1,400 are seniors. Hansen Anderson Basketball recognizes just 20 of these seniors.
