PHOTO OF THE DAY: WARMUP ON A COOL DAY

Thor Aanenson pulls a club from his bag near the putting green at Valley View Golf Course on a cool Wednesday morning, April 21. Aanenson is part of the Freeman Public junior high golf team that is taking part in the first-ever Cornbelt Conference Golf Meet today. The meet was scheduled to be held in Salem (the home course for tournament-host Bridgewater-Emery) but was moved to Freeman at the last minute because of snow in Salem. The four Cornbelt Conference schools with golf teams are taking part: Freeman Public, Bridgewater-Emery, Howard and Viborg-Hurley.
