PHOTO OF THE DAY: OFF AND RUNNING

Freeman Public eighth grader Ryleigh Dent starts the 4×200 relay for the Flyers at the Wizard Relays Monday afternoon, May 3. The Freeman girls finished second at the 12-team junior high track meet; their 114 points were just behind winner Centerville. On the boys side, Freeman Academy/Marion finished in the runner-up position as well, with Hanson winning the boys team title. Freeman Public will host another track meet today — the varsity-only Don Diede Relays. Action gets underway this afternoon.
