PHOTO OF THE DAY: NICE DAY FOR A PARADE

This was the scene on Menno’s Fifth Street one year ago as the community marked the 2020 Fourth of July celebration with its traditional parade. There will be a repeat of that today, Saturday, July 3, as Menno once again celebrates Independence Day. The parade was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. followed by an FFA pork barbecue and an American Legion brat feed. An all-school reunion and street dance was scheduled for later in the day. A patriotic worship service, American Legion baseball, amateur baseball and fireworks will mark Sunday.
