PHOTO OF THE DAY: FIRST PHASE

Heavy earth-moving equipment has had a presence on the west wide of Freeman since late last week, when initial site preparation for the Westward View housing development got underway. This photo was taken looking straight west off Cedar Street near the city of Freeman’s water tower. The form of what will be a new roadway is clearly visible and will take residents into the development, where 18 lots on 14 acres are being sold by the Freeman Community Development Corporation. The work is being done as a project of the city of Freeman, with the first phase including site preparation and utility hookups this fall and the second phase street work next year.
