PHOTO OF THE DAY: LOOKING EAST

This photo of the eastern portion of Freeman was taken sometime in the mid-to-later part of the 1960s, as the community was quickly expanding toward Highway 81. The Freeman Community Hospital and St. Paul Lutheran Church are both obvious landmarks, and the farthest street pictured at the top of the image is a just-developing Albert Street; Wynken Drive was still a long ways off.
