Jessica Lee Dykstra: 1988-2021

Jessica Lee Dykstra was born on May 17, 1988, to Gary and Nancy (Koehn) Dykstra. A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend.

She was baptized on June 26, 1988, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Marion, S.D. She enjoyed the stories of the Bible and believed in Jesus.

Jessica attended school in Marion and had many good teachers and friends. She enjoyed being active with Special Olympics in bowling, swimming, track and field events. She moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. in 2010 and lived in a Group Home with Lifescape. At Lifescape she had a special friendship with housemate, LeAnn.

When she wasn’t spending time with friends and family, she would organize her pictures and watch movies.

She was a loving and compassionate person who loved to be silly with those around her.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jessica is survived by her parents, Gary and Nancy; brother, Jason and wife, Natasha; two nieces, Nora and Alaia; Uncle Danny and Aunt Nanette Koehn, Uncle Brian and Aunt Linda Dykstra; cousin’s, Katie Koehn, Taylor Koehn, Brandyn (Katie) Dykstra, Lindsay (Chris) Willers, and Bobbi Jo (Justin) Brenner.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Betty Koehn; Delmar and Vivian Dykstra.
