SODAK 16: FLYERS BATTLE, BUT CARDINALS TOO TOUGH

Freeman High School led at least once in each set and fought hard against a dangerous Arlington team, but couldn’t hang with senior hitter Hadley Carlson, senior setter Grace Parry and the Cardinals.

Carlson tallied 30 kills and Parry had 40 set assists to lead No. 3 Arlington to a 3-1 win over No. 14 Freeman in the SoDak 16 Tuesday night, Nov. 9 at Sioux Valley.

Set scores were in the Cardinals’ favor, 25-13, 25-19, 21-25, 25-16.

For the Flyers, this was their fourth-straight appearance in the SoDak 16 and the first time they have recorded a set win. They finish the season 20-9.

Arlington will take a 29-5 record into next week’s State Volleyball Tournament in Rapid City.
