Austin Unruh, head coach for the Freeman Academy/Marion boys, visits with the players at the conclusion of practice late Friday afternoon, Feb. 11 in advance of this evening’s game against Lower Brule. The Bearcats (14-1) will face the Sioux (13-2) in the primetime slot of the Dakota Wesleyan Classic starting at 6 p.m. at the McCook Central gym in Salem. The classic is being held in Salem rather than the Corn Palace because the Corn Palace is being used for state gymnastics. Lower Brule is third in the state in seed points and also in the South Dakota High School Basketball Media Poll, behind White River (whom Lower Brule beat 60-57) and defending champion De Smet.
