PHOTO OF THE DAY: PIECES AND PIECES
This is a small section of a very large quilt that hangs near the front entrance of the Freeman Public Library beginning this week in conjunction with National Library Week. The quilt was made by Diane Gubbels and her “Stories of Inspiration” based in Coleridge, Neb. The double-sided quilt includes more than 2,000 pieces, and library patrons are encouraged to play the “I Spy” game and fill out a scavenger hunt sheet based on what’s included in the quilt. Doing so entitles them to a second chance to “spin the wheel’ for a prize — an activity the library is also hosting in celebration of National Library Week.
