FLYER INVITE RESULTS

Freeman Public hosted 18 schools and more than 700 student-athletes at the Flyer Invitational Thursday afternoon and evening, April 21.

Colman-Egan won the girls division while Chester Area won for the boys.

Here’s a link to the full results.

Participating teams were: Alcester-Hudson, Andes Central/Dakota Christian, Bridgewater-Emery, Canistota, Centerville, Chester Area, Colman-Egan, Elk Point/Jefferson, Freeman, Freeman Academy/Marion, Hanson, Howard, Irene-Wakonda, McCook Central/Montrose, McCrossan, Menno, Parker and Sioux Falls Lutheran.

Thursday’s Flyer Invitational was the first of three track meets hosted by Freeman Public this season. The junior high-only Wizard Relays will be in town on Monday, May 2 with a 2:30 p.m. start, and Freeman’s longest-standing track meet, the Don Diede Relays, will be held Tuesday, May 3 starting with field events at 1 p.m.

Here are the varsity track and field meets scheduled for the remainder of the season for Freeman, FA/Marion and Menno.

April 26: Great Plains Conference Championships at Gayville-Volin (FA/Marion)

April 26: Gene Danielsen Relays at Salem (Menno)

April 28: Erv Ptak Relays at Menno (FA/Marion and Menno)

April 28: Terry Bong Invitational at Canton (Freeman)

May 3: Don Diede Relays at Freeman (Freeman, FA/Marion, Menno)

May 6: Howard Wood Dakota Relays at Sioux Falls

May 7: Parker Booster Club Invitational at Parker (Menno)

May 9: Menno Relays at Menno (Freeman, FA/Marion, Menno)

May 10: Old TVC Meet at Alcester (Freeman Academy/Marion

May 12: Cornbelt Conference Meet at Bridgewater (Freeman, Menno)

May 19: Region 5B Meet at Gayville (Freeman, FA/Marion, Menno)

May 26-28: State Meet at Sioux Falls
