Monica Clem assembles a sloppy joe over the noon hour Friday, April 22 as part of the Friends of the Freeman Public Library’s sloppy joe-centric fundraiser. Volunteers with the organization served meals from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. from the library’s lobby to hungry patrons who both walked in the front door and also took advantage of the drive-thru service out back. About 200 people were served.
