Barb Rempfer: 1956-2022

Barbara (Mehlhaff) Rempfer, 66, of Freeman, S.D., passed away on April 25, 2022 at Freeman Medical Center surrounded by family. A private family services will be held.

Barbara was born March 18, 1956 to Marvin and Hildegard (Fischer) Mehlhaff. On April 5, 1974 she was united in marriage with David Rempfer. The two were married for 48 years and were blessed with three children: Joshua, Nicole and Jacob.

She was a strong, courageous, God-fearing woman, faithful to the end. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening, sharing her faith and being a housewife.

She is survived by her husband David; children Joshua (Allison) of Monroe, S.D., Nicole (Nick) of Lennox, S.D. and Jacob (Burgandy) of Freeman; grandson Tristan (Cienna), of Hamill, S.D.; great-grandson William of Hamill; parents Marvin and Hildegard Mehlhaff of Yankton, S.D., Judy (Dennis) Frey of Mitchell, S.D., Michael Mehlhaff of Grand Prairie, Texas, Carol (Jeffrey) Johnson of Yankton, Nancy (Charles) Leonard of Gayville, S.D., and Patricia (Brian) Garvis of Yankton; plus many nieces and nephews.
