This was the scene Wednesday morning as work continues on Freeman’s Main Street project. Here’s the latest from contractor Slowey Construction:

Slowey Construction has removed additional concrete surfacing along Main Street. They have installed new water main and service lines between Railway Street and 4th Street. The existing clay sanitary services along Railway Street have also been replaced with new PVC lines. In addition, reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) storm sewer has been installed from Railway Street to the south side of 3rd Street.

Next, Slowey Construction plans to finish installing water services between 3rd Street and 5th Street. A section of ductile iron water main will also be replaced. Slowey Construction will continue to place storm sewer south along Main Street. A number of storm sewer inlets will be constructed as well.
