PHOTO OF THE DAY: SONGS FOR SUNDAY
Jocelyn Lee, an eighth grader at Freeman Public, was a featured soloist for “A Million Dreams,” a well-known song that is part of “The Greatest Showman” soundtrack, Sunday evening, Nov. 13. Lee is a member of the 28-voice Freeman Area Children’s Choir, which reassembled this fall for the first time since 2019 under the leadership of Amber Bradley and Iwona Letwer, staff members at Freeman Academy and Freeman Public. Sunday’s concert at the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church included seven songs, as well as special piano music by six members of the choir. The FACC, which is open to area children in grades 4-8, will break and reassemble next year for a summer theater camp and accompanying stage production.
