TUESDAY’S REGION 4B GAMES MOVED UP

Region 4B girls basketball action will begin Monday night, Feb. 20 with No. 8 Freeman Academy/Marion (6-14) facing No. 9 Gayville-Volin (5-15) at 6 p.m. in Marion.

Action will continue with four games on Tuesday and two games Thursday.

Freeman Public (13-7) is the No. 3 seed at will face No. 6 Alcester-Hudson (6-14) at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Centerville — a change from the scheduled start time of 6 p.m. The game will be followed by No. 2 Centerville (15-5) and No. 7 Menno (3-17).

Also on Tuesday, No. 1 Viborg-Hurley (17-3) will host the winner of the FAM/GV game while No. 4 Scotland (11-9) faces No. 5 Irene-Wakonda (8-12). The winners advance to the third round on Thursday, with the winners of those games moving on to the SoDak 16.
