A passion he and Mary enjoyed until Fred’s illness last year.

Fred was a loving companion, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.

Grateful for having shared his life are his companion of over 50years, Mary Tegels of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Alice Hill of Sioux Falls and Karen Thorell of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; sister-in-law Kathy Sarutzki of Sioux Falls; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Fred is preceded in death by his father, Karl Sarutzki; his mother and stepfather, Margaret (Finck) and Ewald Heckenlaible; three brothers, Charlie Sarutzki, Floyd Sarutzki and Bobby Sarutzki; two sisters, Darlene (Bob) Polzin and Betty Thompson; and one brother-in-law, Dennis Thorell.
