SPERLING, WEBER NAMED TO GPA ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

 

Marion junior Dominic Sperling and Marion sophomore Karter Weber were both named to the 2023 Great Plains Conference all-conference team along with Freeman Public seniors Rocky Ammann and Evan Scharberg. Freeman Public junior Sawyer Wipf is an honorable mention.

Sperling led the team with 678 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns while Weber threw for 962 yards and 13 touchdowns after stepping in as starting quarterback in the fourth game of the season.

The breakdown of the all-conference selections is included below, per Marion Athletic Director Derrick Lehr.
