PHOTO OF THE DAY: HOLIDAY SING-ALONG

About three dozen people joined their voices in a Christmas Carol Sing-Along at the Bethel Church Saturday afternoon, Dec. 2. Heritage Hall Museum & Archives hosted the event in the historical church that was recently decorated for the season. That includes 13 trees uniqely decorated by local businesses, families and organizations. Jean Carter, secretary of the HHM&A Board of directors led the sing-along, which lasted about an hour. Heather Haggerty, HHM&A Curator (piano) and Mary Waltner, a museum volunteer (pump organ), accompanied the singers. The church will remain decorated through December. It is open to museum members and guests as part of museum visits. The church will also be open free of charge the next two Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the museum and mercantile will also be open those extended hours on Dec. 9 and 16. PHOTO COURTESY OF TIM L.
