PHOTO OF THE DAY: ALL LINED UP
These five decorated Christmas trees are among 13 on display at the Bethel Church, which is part of the Heritage Hall Museum & Archives complex. Each is unique; that includes two vintage trees. The small one on the far right, circa 1940, comes from Kevin Albright and his mother, Betty (Graber) Albrecht; it’s the first tree that she remembers. The shiny aluminum tree in the middle comes from Chantel and Stewart Hofer; that style was a popular fad in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The 13 trees are placed all around the main floor of the church. This is the inaugural year for the project, which the museum hopes to make an annual event. The Bethel Church is open for museum members and guests – as well as those making purchases in its mercantile, or by donation – during regular museum hours, weekdays from noon to 4. It’s also open – free to the public – this Saturday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. COURTESY OF TIM L. WALTNER
