FHS GIRLS ROLL TO 3-0

Four players scored in double-figures as Freeman Public handled Class A McCook Central/Montrose with little trouble in girls basketball action in Montrose Tuesday night, Dec. 12. The 73-46 win moved the Flyers to 3-0, with all of those wins coming on the road. The Freeman girls will play their first home game of the season next Monday in a doubleheader with the boys against Howard.

Against the Cougars on Tuesday, freshman Vaida Amman scored 18 points, senior Ashlin Jacobsen went for 17, eighth grader Cadence Hofer tallied 15 and freshman Rylee Peters added 10. Senior Cami Fransen also had five steals and three assists for the Flyers, who led 24-12 after the first quarter and 40-24 at the half.
