PHOTO OF THE DAY: CLASSIC LOOK BACK

On this New Year’s Eve day 2023, here’s a fabulous look back at a Main Street winter scene from 125 years ago. This is what Main Street looked like looking south in 1918, with Freeman Depot pictured in the lower right and South Dakota Mennonite College pictured in the far distance. Also notable is the steeple of the St. Paul Lutheran Church when it was located at the corner of Fourth and Poplar streets, near the location of what is today First Interstate Bank.
