MENNO BOYS FALL TO MITCHELL CHRISTIAN 70-61

A battle of winless teams fell in favor of Mitchell Christian as Menno hosted the Golden Eagles Thursday night, Jan. 4.

The Wolves lost the game 70-61 and dropped to 0-7 while Mitchell Christian improved to 1-4. The game was tied 19-19 after the first quarter but the Golden Eagles outscored Menno by 12 points in the second and third periods and hung on to the nine-point victory.

Isaac Fergen had 20 points and Izayah Ulmer added 17 points, five steals and four assists to lead the Wolves. Erick Buechler had five rebounds and a blocked shot.

The Menno boys are off until Saturday, Jan. 13, when they host Andes Central/Dakota Christian in a doubleheader with the girls.
