Francis ‘Fran’ N. Weber, 82

Francis “Fran” N. Weber, age 82 of Sioux Falls, S.D., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center. A celebration of life memorial service will be on Friday, Jan. 26 at 10:30 a.m., at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls, S.D. Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m., also at the funeral home. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife and caretaker, Joan Weber of Sioux Falls; his daughter, Jill (Jason) Aanenson of Freeman, S.D.; his son, Heath Weber of Sioux City, Iowa; two grandsons, Tryg Aanenson of Dallas, Texas and Thor Aanenson of Freeman; sisters-in-law, Selma Weber of Dimock, S.D., Judy Hughes of Sturgis, S.D. and Connie Howes of Mitchell, S.D.; and a host of many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Fran was preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Mary (Sommer) Weber; his step-mother, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Weber; his in-laws, Herb and Helen Radel; his sisters, Regina Steffen, Mary Katherine Locken and Doris Wermers; his brothers, John C. “Bud” Weber and Louis Weber.
