PHOTO OF THE DAY: NOT EASY BEING GREEN

That’s Joshua Hofer in the makeup chair and Emmit Ortman behind him prior to Wednesday night’s final dress rehearsal for “Shrek the Musical.” Hofer plays the title role and Ortman the part of Young Shrek in the production that is being presented this week in conjunction with the 63rd Schmeckfest. The show opens tonight and will also be presented both nights of Schmeckfest Friday and Saturday. Reserved seating for all three shows is sold out; general admission tickets are available in the Pioneer Hall lobby the next three nights beginning at 6 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m., with curtain at 7:30 p.m.
