PHOTO OF THE DAY: RETURN OF THE PLOWS
Those eager for spring weather are going to have wait a while as the region is getting hammered with a March winter storm. Plows were out in the city of Freeman early, but the weather worsened considerably after 9 a.m. with a heavy band of snow churning across most of Hutchinson and Turner counties. That is expected to continue throughout the day and either slow activity considerably or bring it to a halt. And some businesses and organizations are closed, including the Et Cetera Shoppe, Courier office Vintage Vault & Floral and Heritage Hall Museum & Archives. The Freeman community is right on a line between snow and rain but it appears as though it will be snow continuing throughout the day and into the evening hours, with winds expected to pick up overnight as the system clears out.
