Judy Schrag, who worked in the cafeteria at Freeman Public Schools for many years, helps get the concessions stand ready to go in the hours leading up to the Flyer Invitational Thursday morning, April 18. Located underneath the grandstand at the school’s track and field complex, the concessions stand will be popular spot for those taking in Freeman Public’s first home track meet of the year; the first event — the javelin — will begin at noon with the other field events starting at 1 p.m. Running events get underway at 3 p.m. Upwards of 20 teams are expected to take part in what will be a cool and breezy — but hopefully sunny — meet.
