PHOTO OF THE DAY: HISTORY IN A BUILDING

The Freeman Academy campus, located on the southern end of Main Street, is home to the community’s most historic building — Music Hall. The building opened in 1903 as South Dakota Mennonite College and has served multiple purposes as the school grew and evolved over the years and decades. This photo is included in the upcoming issue of The Courier along with a press release about the recent reaccreditation recommendation from the Mennonite Schools Council, in partnership with Cognia (formerly AdvancED). The new issue will be released online Wednesday and in print on Thursday.
