PHOTO OF THE DAY: TWO YEARS AGO …

This photo was taken almost exactly two years ago to the day following a May 12, 2024 derecho that had a major impact on the region. The image was made on May 13 and shows the Stuart Curry farm north of Freeman along Highway 81 that was among the hardest hit of any property around. Curry has written a reflection of that devastating day and an update that is included in this week’s Courier. Check it out online Wednesday afternoon and in print on Thursday.
