PHOTO OF THE DAY: WET START

As expected, what could be a wet week got off to a very wet start as more than 2 inches of rain fell during the overnight hours Sunday into Monday, with rain continuing to fall during the morning hours. Active weather is continuing southwest of Mitchell and is moving across southeastern South Dakota. Moisture is expected to leave the area tomorrow and Wednesday, but there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms later this week and into the weekend.
