This first-year team — the Post 152 79ers — will take the field today in the first round of the South Dakota American Legion Region 4B Tournament being hosted by Corsica. The team made up of players from Freeman, Menno and Scotland will face Wagner in Tuesday’s second game scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday’s first game features Mt. Vernon/Plankinton/Corsica-Stickney at Tabor, with the winner of that game playing Parkston tonight at 7 p.m.
The winners of Tuesday second games will play in the semifinals Thursday at 1 p.m.
The losers of Tuesday’s games will face elimination games Wednesday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Action continues Thursday afternoon, with the championship round scheduled for Friday, July 26 at 1 p.m.
