With his master, Dale Swiderski, at command, 4-year-old Preacher is ready to head out through land and water to retrieve a mallard as part of the American Pointing Labrador Association Triple Crown Invitational being held in Freeman. Swiderski is from Dundee, Mich., and is among the dozens taking part in the national test hunt, which began Saturday morning, Aug. 31, continued on Sunday and is concluding Monday afternoon. Triple Crown headquarters are at the Robert and Vicky Huber property southwest of Freeman. Swiderski has been competing in test hunts for 20 years and Preacher is a four-time Master/Grand Master Pointing Retriever champion and carries the title of Master Hunter.
