The SDHSAA State Oral Interpretation Festival is unfolding Friday and Saturday, with a number of local performances. Here’s the full rundown.

Session 1 – 9 a.m. Friday

No. 9 of 13: Freeman Academy, Reader’s Theatre (Madelyn Anderson, Jada Buse, Arianne Fink, Armando Miller, Benjamin Clark, Jax Kaufman), “Mythically Mythical Myths.”

No. 13 of 13: Marion, Reader’s Theatre (Harli Ross, Claire Donlan, Domani Butler, Avery Thomas, Kolter Schmidt, Bailey Hernandez), “Job Fair.”

Session 2 – 1:30 p.m. Friday

No. 13 of 14: Freeman junior Thor Aanenson in Humorous Reading, “The Party” (from “Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened”).

Session 3 – 6 p.m. Friday

No. 1 of 13: Freeman sophomore Claire Loofbourrow in Storytelling, “Tell Me Why You Cry” (from Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul II).

No. 13 of 13: Marion sophomore Harli Ross, “Right Number, Wrong Number.”

Session 4 – 9 a.m. Saturday

No. 8 of 15: Marion sophomores Avery Thomas and Domani Butler in Duet Interpretation, “To Be in Your Shoes.”

Session 5 – 1:30 p.m. Saturday

No. 1 of 15: Menno sophomore Ervin Schrock in Serious Reading, “Just Listen.”

No. 7 of 13: Freeman junior Thor Aanenson in Non-Original Oratory, “The Unheard Story of David and Goliath.”
