PHOTO OF THE DAY: ACTION RETURNS
The Freeman High School boys run through drills Saturday morning in advance of their game against White River scheduled to start at 3 p.m. that afternoon as part of the Hoops City Classic at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. The Flyers are 2-0 and tied for fifth in the Class B South Dakota Prep Media Baseball Poll; the Tigers — a perennial state tournament qualifier over the course of the past 20 years — are 2-3.
The Freeman boys aren’t the only ones who return to action today after a holiday break; the Freeman Academy/Marion girls will host Corsica-Stickney in Marion at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon.
All other teams resume next week.
