FAM BOYS, GIRLS WIN ON FRIDAY; GAMES TO COME

The Freeman Academy/Marion boys picked up their third consecutive win and the FA/Marion girls won for the first time since Dec. 7 as the Bearcats hosted Flandreau Indian in a doubleheader Friday, Jan. 17.

The boys (3-4) beat the Indians (0-5) 63-29 while the girls (3-8) defeated Flandeau Indian (1-5) 49-15.

Also Saturday, the Scotland/Menno boys won for the second time this season (2-6) with a 67-65 win over Andes Central/Dakota Christian (5-5) while the Trapper girls (2-6) lost to the Thunder (8-2) 57-29.

Scotland/Menno plays at Andes Central/Dakota Christian in a doubleheader on Saturday. The Trapper boys then host Bridgewater-Emery (5-3) in Scotland on Monday while the girls next travel to Freeman Public (9-1) for a doubleheader with the boys on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Freeman Public goes to Centerville for a doubleheader Tuesday, Jan. 21.

As for FA/Marion, it will travel to Canistota on Tuesday for a doubleheader with the Hawks; the girls then host Irene-Wakonda on Thursday at Freeman Academy while the boys travel to Mitchell Christian.
