PHOTO OF THE DAY: SUNDAY SELECTION
The Bethany Mennonite Church is pictured as it once stood in Freeman – similar in style and location to the structure that stands today but dated in time. The congregation was established in 1905 as the lone Mennonite church within the city limits of Freeman, and the history is noted by a fire that destroyed the house of worship in 1945. It was rebuilt and reopened three years later, with an education expansion eventually on its way.
