REGION 4B, 5A GIRLS BRACKETS SET

Freeman Academy/Marion is the No. 10 seed and Freeman Public is No. 4 as the Region 4B Girls Basketball Tournament gets underway this week. The Bearcats (3-16) will face Tripp-Delmont/Armour at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24 with the winner facing No. 2 Parkston (16-4) on Tuesday. The Flyers (15-5), meanwhile, will host No. 5 Gayville-Volin (16-4) Tuesday at 7 p.m., with the winner facing No. 1 Centerville (20-0) on Thursday.

Action concludes Thursday, Feb. 27. Here are the final regular-season standings from Region 4B.

  3. Viborg-Hurley 14-6 (43.650)

In Region 5A, Scotland/Menno (9-11) is the No. 3 seed and will face No. 6 Bon Homme (6-14) Tuesday, Feb. 25; the winner faces the winner of No. 2 Mount Vernon/Plankinton (16-4) and No. 7 Parker (0-20) Thursday night.
