Menno junior Lexie McNinch starts the break for Scotland/Menno in Region 5A action against Bon Homme Tuesday night. McNinch had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead the No. 3 Trappers over No. 6 Bon Homme 49-42. It was Scotland/Menno’s seventh win in its last eight games and moves them into the final round on Thursday when they will face No. 2 Mount Vernon/Plankinton (17-4) with a trip to the SoDak 16 on the line. The game will start at 7 p.m. in Plankinton.

Also Tuesday night, the No. 4 Freeman girls saw a solid season come to a disappointing finish when No. 5 Gayville-Volin outlasted the Flyers 52-50. Freeman had defeated the Raiders 53-51 on Feb. 20. The Flyers finish the season 15-6.
