PHOTO OF THE DAY: CENTER STAGE

In this photo from the Region 2B Wrestling Tournament last Saturday, Marion senior Keaton Preheim is pictured with Rebels head coach Mark Bradley prior to his first match of the day. Preheim advanced through the region and on to state, as did Logun Pankratz and Easton Tschetter, and the trio of Marion/Freeman grapplers will all take the mat today in the first of the three-day state tournament in Rapid City. Today’s bill includes first-round matches and quarterfinals, with consolation matches and semifinals unfolding on Friday. Place matches will take place on Saturday. The general rule in postseason wrestling is, win two before you lose two, or be eliminated. Stay tuned for updates from Rapid City.
