PHOTO OF THE DAY: PIES FOR DAYS

An assortment of fresh, homemade slices of pie sit out for the taking at the Freeman Lions Club Soup Day fundraiser late Friday morning, April 11. Serving begins at 11 a.m. and picks up again at 4 p.m., all at the Senior Citizen Center. As many as 32 pies have been baked and donated for the event, and Associated Milk Producers, Inc., has donated all the cheese for the meal. Two roasters full of chili and another two full of chicken noodle soup will be used for the first serving, with one of each taking care of the evening. And as many as 300 sandwiches are expected to be served.
