LOCAL GRADUATIONS SET FOR NEXT TWO SATURDAYS
Graduation season has arrived and students from Menno High School will be the first to receive their high school diplomas. Commencement will begin at 2:30 p.m. this Saturday, May 10 at the high school gym and will be preceded by the Menno-Olivet Ministerial Association’s baccalaureate that will start at 1:45 p.m.
The pop and circumstance of the season will continue elsewhere next week.
The Freeman Ministerial Association will host its traditional baccalaureate Wednesday, May 14 at the Freeman Community Center starting at 7 p.m. Corey Miller, pastor at Salem-Zion Mennonite Church, will be this year’s speaker; the public is invited to attend.
Then on Saturday, May 17, students from Freeman Academy, Freeman Public and Marion will all graduate. Freeman Academy’s commencement will begin at 11 a.m. in Pioneer Hall, Marion’s will start at 1 p.m. in the main gym while Freeman Public’s will begin at 2 p.m. inside the FHS gym.
