PHOTO OF THE DAY: SERVICE FOR THE SENIORS

Corey Miller, pastor of the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church, delivers the message at the Freeman Ministerial Association’s 2025 baccalaureate held in the Freeman Community Center Wednesday evening, May 14. Miller’s theme was “Building Well” and encouraged the graduates from Freeman Academy and Freeman Public to use whatever tools they have been given to make their place in the world. Wednesday’s service also included music by a praise band led by Craig and Lois Wollman, as well as involvement from other pastors in the community: Shane Van Meveren of the Bethany Mennonite Church, Stephen Roussos of the Missionary Church, Stuart Curry of the Salem Mennonite Brethren Church, Randall Koehler of the Hutterthal Mennonite Church, and Spencer Bradford of the Salem Mennonite Church.

This is the 11th year that the Freeman Ministerial Association has been organizing and hosting the community baccalaureate. Prior to that, the service took place at Freeman Public Schools for Freeman Public students.
