The Freeman/Canistota/Marion Sticks line up for the national anthem prior to their Region 1B tournament game against Dakota Valley Wednesday afternoon, May 21. Both the Sticks and the Scotland/Menno Trappers were in action in Parkston — and both took losses to end their seasons. The Sticks lost to the Panthers 5-1 and ended their season 7-4 while the Trappers fell to Parkston 7-6 to end their season 8-8.

Dakota Valley (10-4) went on to beat Parkston (14-2) 6-0 to advance to the South Dakota High School Baseball Association Class B State Tournament later this month.
