PHOTO OF THE DAY: PREPARING FOR THE WIZARD

The Freeman Area Children’s Choir summer musical theater camp is underway, and a handful of the 48 youngsters taking part are shown making flower hats that will be worn by Munchkins taking the stage in “The Wizard of Oz” — this year’s featured production.

The two-week camp got underway Monday, June 9 and will conclude with the production of the junior version of the familiar Frank Oz production Thursday, June 19 beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Pioneer Hall. It is under the leadership of FACC directors Iwona Lewter and Amber Bradley.
