Jake Weier, player/manager for Freeman’s amateur baseball team, rolls into third base in action at Merchants State Bank Field Sunday night, June 15. Weier and the Blacksox took care of business against Lesterville, winning 14-4 to improve to 4-4 on the season. Bailey Sage drove in four runs in the win over the Broncs, with a two-run home run by Evan Scharberg in the bottom of the sixth ending the game by way of the 10-run mercy rule.
