PHOTO OF THE DAY: FOURTH OF JULY FEAST

Isla Andersen, daughter of Menno native and community resident Brittney Massey, goes through the line at the Menno FFA-hosted Fourth of July feed inside the city/school auditorium following Friday’s Independence Day parade. Thousands once again stormed Menno for the Fourth of July celebration, which continues with a show and shine and family activities at Pioneer Acres, American Legion baseball this afternoon and amateur action tonight, when the Mad Frogs host Freeman.

As for the parade, 87 entries representing Menno and a host of surrounding communities made their way through the hour-long processional down Fifth Street and along side streets flaking the downtown business community.
