PHOTO OF THE DAY: CHURCH WORK
This was the scene Thursday evening, July 24 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Freeman as Morgan and Mitch Kleinsasser, with assistance of others, removed the signature steeple from the structure that began serving the congregation in 1963. The removal came out of necessity as water issues have become an increasing concern, which means the steeple will remain on the ground. Those working on the project Thursday night are hopeful that it will be preserved and will become part of the church property landscape.
